Terry & Diane Barker, Missionaries to Ethiopia
The Barkers have been serving as missionaries for the Church of the Nazarene since 1993. They are currently living in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Terry is involved in church planting, administration, and supervising various support ministries. Diane is the chaplain for
the mission and national staff as well as special projects coordinator.
Prior to their present assignment the Barkers served in Johannesburg, South Africa where Terry was the Regional Coordinator for the JESUS Film Ministry on the Africa Region, and Diane was the regional hostess. They have also been involved in hosting a variety of teams coming to Africa for Youth in Mission, Work & Witness, and JESUS Film ministry.
They have also served the church as missionaries in New Zealand, Australia, and the Philippines.
The Barkers have also pastored in Ponca City, Oklahoma and Massapequa Park, New York.
Terry & Diane are graduates of Trevecca Nazarene College in Nashville, Tennessee. Terry is a graduate of Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri. Diane has completed her studies toward ordination as an elder in the Church of the Nazarene, and is awaiting ordination.
The Barkers have been married thirty one years and have two children: Danna Jaye, 26, a nurse living in New Mexico, and Johnathon Todd, 23, a pastor in Fort Worth, Texas.
